Bug Zero FAQ’s
Qus   Can Bug Zero be carried on an airplane carry on luggage?
Ans   Bug Zero can be packed safely in carry-on or check-in luggage for airplane travel. Since there are no liquids or gels in the product, it is not subject to the new FAA restrictions for carry-on items.
Qus   What is BugZero?
Ans

Bug Zero is a safe and all natural insect repellent. It is a small patch that you apply directly to the skin.

Qus   How does it work?
Ans   Bug Zero is a vitamin based formula that is absorbed directly through the skin and circulated by your body’s natural ability to process vitamins. When excess Thiamin B1 is absorbed by the body, it gets released through your skin’s sweat pores. The scent of B1 is unattractive to mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are normally attracted to the CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) that is emitted through the skin pores and breath. The scent of B1 helps mask your normal human scent creating an invisible “forcefield” that gives extra protection against mosquitoes, without any smell that is offensive to humans
Qus   Why a patch?
Ans   Bug Zero patch uses an advanced micro-layer technology that allows the active ingredients to be time-released into the skin for maximum absorption and lasting effect. This is effective for several reasons. Delivery through the skin is the fastest. The ingredients will begin to circulate immediately providing full protection within 2 hours. Also, less of the ingredient is needed as compared to taking it orally (pill or liquid) because it does not need to get filtered out through the liver and digestive tract. It is also extremely convenient, lightweight, easy to pack, share, and use on children.
Qus   How do you use it?
Ans   Apply Bug Zero patch directly to clean, dry hairless area of the skin, such as inner arm, two hours before mosquito protection is needed. Larger adults (over 150 pounds) can use two patches at a time if desired.
Qus   Is it effective?
Ans   Yes! No mosquito repellent can claim 100% effectiveness, but for normal use it is very effective.
Qus   Is it safe for children?
Ans   Yes! It is safe for babies as young as one year old. Some people choose to cut the patch in half for small babies.
Qus   Are there any side effects?
Ans   The side effects are more like side benefits. Thiamin B1 is known to help soothe irritated skin.
Qus   How long does it last, and how often do I need to re-apply?
Ans   Each patch can be worn for 24 hours, with effects lasting for up to 36 hours. For best absorption, re-apply to a different area each time (like switch arms).
Qus   What makes Bug Zero a great value?
Ans   Bug Zero offers full body protection! That is something that lotions and sprays cannot do. Each patch protects for 36 hours without the use of harmful chemicals like DEET or the discomfort of sticky lotions. Bug Zero does not lose effectiveness after swimming, sweating, or showering.
Qus   What is the dose of active ingredient?
Ans   75 mg of Thiamin B1 per patch.
Qus   How big is the Bug Zero patch?
Ans   Each patch is 2 inches square.
